Threshold

threshold for social media

Searching for blooms in twilight’s gaze,

We call the time when the sun is just above or below the horizon as twilight. The moment before the sky is filled with either the golden honey of day break or the inky sea of night

Dusk and dawn can be described as thresholds, where the veil between the worlds is thinnest, a liminal state, when the journey ahead is either filled with the numinosity of sunlight or we are plummeted into darkness.

Daylight illuminates new perspectives, expanding our vision, whilst the dark is more disorientating. However, both can bring new opportunities.

In the obscurity of light we move slowly, unable to see the dangers ahead until we are upon them. This slowing down is implicit in our journey as it is during these times that developing our own inner resources and intuition can help guide us. We can take the time to develop the wise old woman within us all and the nimble footed night vision goat.  Together they can help lead us towards new beginnings, to the patch of earth where the winter’s first snowdrops have broken through.

Fishing the deep

” In the wiry depths of the tangled sea. The fisherman’s line tumbled through cool vast echoes of solitude.”

As we find ourselves currently in a time of collective descent, a time of unknowing where our futures are no longer predictable, the life that we may have planned for ourselves is no longer certain. Although I have never experienced a transition collectively in this way I have known what it is like to find myself lost in the forest without knowing the way home. These moments in my life have often been accompanied with times of illness, death of loved ones or when my nicely planned ideas have been thrown up into the air and tumbled like rocks across my path.

It has always been dreams that have helped me connect and find some kind of comprehension during these heightened times.

Like a boat crossing the waters of our unconscious, we are fisherfolk casting our lines out.  Our dreams can bring glimpses of the creatures and treasure from our depths that can help inspire and enrich our lives, and guide us on our own unique path.

I would love to offer others a chance to connect further with their dreams during this unpredictable time as I believe listening to our dreams and inner worlds can help guide our paths through the solitudes of night using the images as a beacon to lighten the way.

I am now offering one to one sessions to sessions to anyone who would like help decoding, understanding or connecting deeper to their own dream language.

All you will need is to have a chosen dream you have written down after waking.

These sessions would be an hour long and by suggested (£10-25) donation.

Please do email me or follow the link to my website if you have any questions or would like further information.
